The fastest way is from inside the extension: hold the L key on any page, or press Report a problem in the Setup tab. That builds a report with the page address, your browser version, how many form fields were found and the last error recorded, then shows it to you in full before anything is sent. It contains no page content, no answers, no resume text and no API key.
Email it to narender.resumefill@gmail.com with a line about what you were trying to do. Reports that name the site are the most useful, because most failures are one site's unusual markup, and each one makes the scanner better.
Some sites render postings in ways the scanner can't read: login walls, unusual layouts, canvas rendering. Press Paste the description instead in the This job tab and paste the posting in. Everything after that works exactly the same.
Open the actual application form first, not the job advert, then press Rescan. If it still finds nothing, use Type a question yourself at the bottom of the Fields tab, and you'll get an answer to copy across. The panel tells you how many frames it searched, which is worth including in a report.
Open chrome://extensions, press reload on Resumefill, then reload the job page. A newly
granted permission only applies after both.
Check you've selected the matching provider, because a Gemini key won't work with OpenAI selected. Gemini keys
start AIza, OpenAI sk-, Anthropic sk-ant-. OpenAI and Anthropic both
need billing or credit on your account; Gemini has a free tier.
Providers retire models regularly. The model field in Setup is editable, so put in a current model name from your provider's documentation and press Save.
Scanned or photographed resumes are images with no extractable text. Re-save as a real PDF or DOCX from the original document, or paste the text in directly.
Everything is stored in your browser, so clearing site data or removing the extension deletes it, and it doesn't follow you to another machine. Save it again on the master resume page and the extension picks it up.
